Festoons
Festoons are often called the second bag and appear below any prolapsing fat of the lower eyelid. There are two types of festoons, wet and dry. There are a myriad of methods to reduce or minimize festoons. These include midface lifting, lasers, topical treatments, and direct excision. Performing a lower lid blepharoplasty and not addressing a festoon often makes the festoon look worse. The modalities of treatment can also be combined to produce the best results possible. Dr Zatezalo will discuss the best approach for your festoon.
