After an upper lid blepharoplasty or simply with aging, the volume of the upper eyelid may appear sunken or hollow. Oculoplastic surgeons refer to this as superior sulcus defect or hollowing. There are several methods to repair the hollowness of the upper eyelid. Dr Zatezalo does not recommend fat injection into this area as the results are often unpredictable.
