Facial Dermal Fillers

The aging process of the face has many different components. As we age not only does the facial tissue descend to produce a sagging appearance, but there is a substantial loss of tissue volume. The descent of tissue can also lead to facial wrinkles (nasolabial folds, lower eyelid bags, jowls etc.). There are several tools to combat the aging process and rejuvenate the face. While surgical options exist to elevate facial tissue, a minimally invasive treatment option may work as well. Dermal fillers (Restylane®, Juvederm®, Radiesse®, Sculptra®) replace volume in the areas of tissue loss, and can lead to tissue elevation and produce a rejuvenated face. There are many areas that dermal fillers may be injected to reverse the aging process. All injections at Gerson Zatezalo Skin + Face are only performed by Drs. Gerson and Zatezalo. With the use of an injection cannula as opposed to a needle, there is minimal to no pain with the injection, and post injection swelling and bruising are minimized. Injecting into the tear trough requires excellent technique and the intimate knowledge of the surrounding anatomy.  Gerson Zatezalo Skin + Face receives many referrals for dermal filler injection and revisions in the tear trough as this area is complicated and difficult to inject.
